Geranium, belonging to the Pelargonium genus, is cultivated both for its beauty and for the benefits it offers in the perfume industry. Although there are over 200 varieties of pelargonium, only a few are used for producing essential oils. The uses of Geranium oil date back to ancient Egypt, where it was used to beautify the skin. In the Victorian era, fresh geranium leaves decorated tables and were sometimes eaten as a food garnish. Geranium oil supports healthy-looking skin and hair, making it an ideal addition to personal care products. Additionally, its scent helps calm the nerves and relieve stress. Geranium is also a natural insect repellent.
